From “Monday Morning in North Georgia,” an e-publication of the North Ga. Conference:
Jennifer and I are thrilled that Bishop Mike and Margaret Watson are coming to North Georgia to provide leadership for this annual conference that we have grown to love so much….
Mike comes to you after eight years of service in South Georgia. He comes as a veteran Bishop, far better equipped to lead North Georgia than I was twelve years ago as a rookie. He was an outstanding pastor of a large church and also a church planter before being elected to the episcopacy in 2000….
These past couple weeks have been very hectic for Jennifer and me as we once again itinerate…. [But the] Kentucky Conference has been so gracious in providing for us and attentive to our needs during this transition. I am very grateful for all that they have done for us….
So, the moving van will pick us up on the 21st of August and deliver us to our new assignment. The Watsons will be arriving in their new place that week as well.
Please continue to surround all of us with your prayers, as we will continue to pray for you.
Bishop Lindsey Davis
