You know, while it&#039;s not reflected in the official record, the 2008 General Conference narrowly avoided adding a sentence to the Social Principles that would have put the UMC officially on record as being in support of legal protections to prevent health care professionals to being forced to participate in abortions. But MFSA and their like-minded delegates staunchly opposed this.]]></description>
